Deep in the heart of the Emerald Triangle...

Before Gaia Gardens, we were just a cannabis-loving couple that noticed the best herb always seemed to come from Trinity County. And no wonder. It is one of the world’s best places to cultivate, with the perfect climate and elevation: dry, hot summers, and cool nights. Now Gaia Gardens comprises of two farms, in Hayfork and in Lewiston.

The Farm in Hayfork

The Gaia Gardens farms in Hayfork is a full sun garden, meaning the plants are grown in the most natural way, using only full-spectrum sunlight instead of synthetic lights. We only use organic nutrients and implement and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) system using natural pesticides and plant-safe predator bugs to target the bugs we don’t want without using any harsh chemicals that are bad for the plants or environment.

The majority of our plants are planted directly in the native soil—a rarity in the industry—with only a small portion cultivated in breathable fabric pots for pheno-hunting, each containing 400 gallons of soil and a single plant.

The Farm in Lewiston

The Gaia Gardens farm in Lewiston has 4 greenhouses where we are able to manipulate the growing conditions as well as the cycle of the sun, a process called "light-dep.” This combination of artificial and natural light encourages the plants to finish their full profiles  faster. This way, we are able to harvest 3 times in one season instead of just once.
Two out of the 4 greenhouses have heaters and artificial lighting in them so we can keep growing all year around, even during the winter season. While many cannabis farmers take the winter season off, we are still grinding hard and providing high quality product in the off-season.
